1. Does your company provide actual security services like security guards, alarm and cctv systems?
Answer: No. We provide management services. We will help you identify your actual safety and security needs and your best protective security and safety solutions. For example, if you contact a security alarm company, there is a presumption that you are already in the market for an alarm system, and the alarm company is going to recommend you install one of their systems. Our job is to help you select the most effective means of meeting your needs from the management perspective, whether it be guards, alarms, cameras, or better locks. If you were to need such services, you could then deal with those companies directly or you could contract with us to act as your agent.
2. Do you provide recovery and restoration services for property that is severely damaged during a disaster?
Answer: No, in most cases you will need to deal with a General Contractor, a construction company, a demolition and debris removal company, or a company specializing in Hazardous Materials removal and decontamination. We do maintain significant contacts within this industry; and for our existing customers we will help you to locate suitable recovery and restoration contractors should you require their services. If your damage is small, non-structural, and does not involve hazardous materials, we can provide our customers with a general clean-up of your facility or home and remove the debris.
3. How are Hurricanes rated?
Answer: Hurricanes are categorized according to the SAFFIR-SIMPSON Scale, which rates each hurricane according to the velocity of sustained winds. For example, if sustained winds are less than 74 miles per hour this is not a full hurricane, for the definition of a Category 1 Hurricane is a tropical cyclone having sustained winds from 74 to 95 miles per hour.
